I’m Joe Peters known as DJ Joe, born and raised in a small little town on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii called Laie. I learned at a young age that I had a hearing impairment in both ears, but I cultivated a love for sound and music. 

My interest in music stemmed from my disability of hearing loss, however, my journey around music evolved around the many talented musicians and vocalist in my community.  Many have come and passed on, but their music still lives.

Fast forward, I began creating hour long music mixes to accompany the time spent while drinking Kava in a social Kava circle.  What started as a hobby to support my Kava consumption 😉 grew a passion of entertaining and creating mixes for any occassions.

Originally I started mixing Island, Reggae, R&B & Hip Hop types of music.  However, throughout the years I became more versatile creating mixes from classic oldies to country and even a few workout mixes.  I have uploaded many free mixes that are available on my Soundcloud page and I’m in the final stages in publishing my website for you all to enjoy.  I will launch a subscription model where you will have access to exclusive mixes every month, including a DJ Joe starter kit, discounts on upcoming concerts, events and DJ Joe merch.  Stay tuned!
